Nymasheke - Rwanda SWP Decaf
This coffee is truly unique. When we first tasted it, we were surprised at the contrasting bitter and sweet notes. Grown around Lake Kivu in Rwanda at about 1800 MSL, the Nyamasheke coffee is 100% bourbon cultivar which adopts a contrasting flavor profile when grown at higher altitudes. The coffee is SWP decaf and still retains surprisingly clean flavors. We noticed a distinct burned sugar aroma when prepared as an espresso. Notes of cocoa powder, molasses, and roasted wheat were also noticeable. As the coffee is tasted, the flavor profile becomes increasingly sweeter and ends with a clean finish.
